The Commerce Business Banquet (BB) is a longstanding tradition of the I.H. Asper School of Business. What started as a small event to foster the relationship between business professionals in Winnipeg and students of the Asper School is now in its 57th consecutive year and the premier event that the Commerce Students’ Association hosts. The Business Banquet is an event that is unique to the school, and the biggest student-led, corporate networking event of its kind in Canada.

The Director of Corporate Relations is an important role on the BB committee that helps connect the greater business community with the event. Through the acquisition of in-kind sponsorship and Emerging Business Partners, the Director of Corporate Relations ensures that value is being brought to BB’s sponsors and attendees.

Director of Logistics

The Directors of Logistics are responsible for the behind-the-scenes action that makes Business Banquet possible. They will work with one another, their fellow committee members, and other stakeholders to ensure that the event runs smoothly. This includes preventative measures leading up to the event to avoid any disruptions as well as being attentive and ‘on the scene’ to help mitigate any issues that may arise!

The Directors of Marketing and Media help make Business Banquet shine! Using a variety of creative marketing strategies, the Directors of Marketing and Media will help strengthen the Business Banquet brand among students. Through in-person and virtual engagement strategies, the Directors of Marketing and Media will help educate the student body on the benefits of attending BB!

Director of Graphic Design

The Director of Graphic Design has an incredible eye for detail and the passion to bring Business Banquet’s brand to the next level. Through creative brainstorming and content creation, the Director of Graphic design will help bring the BB committee’s vision for the event to life. The graphics and content created will be used for all BB promotional materials including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, the BB website, and more.
